Seroquel Drug Side Effects
Seroquel® (quetiapine fumarate) is an atypical antipsychotic medication often prescribed for the treatment of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Seroquel. Drug side effects may include dizziness, constipation, fatigue, and dry mouth. Some of the less common side effects that have been reported in less than 2 percent of people taking this medication include migraine headaches, vertigo, nosebleeds, and dry eyes.
When side effects do occur with Seroquel, they are usually minor and either do not require treatment or can be treated easily. However, some side effects are potentially serious and should be reported to your healthcare provider immediately. Seek medical attention right away if you experience rapid or extreme weight gain, dizziness or fainting when going from a sitting or lying-down position to standing, or any abnormal muscle movements.
