Seroquel 50 mg Tablets

Seroquel® (quetiapine fumarate) is a prescription medication licensed to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It comes in the form of a tablet and is available in six different strengths, including:
 
  • Seroquel 25 mg tablets
  • Seroquel 50 mg tablets
  • Seroquel 100 mg tablets
  • Seroquel 200 mg tablets
  • Seroquel 300 mg tablets
  • Seroquel 400 mg tablets.
     
The Seroquel dosage for bipolar disorder varies, depending on the particular type of bipolar disorder. For the treatment of bipolar depression, most people start with Seroquel 50 mg tablets (one tablet, once daily at bedtime). The recommended starting dose for treating bipolar mania is 50 mg, taken twice a day.
 
The recommended starting dose for schizophrenia is Seroquel 25 mg, taken twice a day. Generally, your healthcare provider will increase your dose quickly within a few days, up to 400 mg (taken in two or three smaller doses per day).
