When to Take Geodon

Geodon® (ziprasidone hydrochloride) is a prescription drug licensed to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Your healthcare provider will determine an appropriate dosage for your situation based on the condition being treated, the severity of the condition, and other medications you are currently taking.

Geodon is typically taken twice a day. It should be taken with food, since taking it on an empty stomach decreases the absorption of the medicine into your body. Although there are no specific instructions on when to take Geodon, it is important to take the medication at the same times each day to maintain even drug levels in your blood.
