Geodon Tab

Geodon® (ziprasidone hydrochloride) is an atypical antipsychotic medication licensed for treating bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. It is available by prescription only and comes in capsule form; there is no Geodon tab available.
 
Geodon capsules are available in four different strengths, including:
 
  • Geodon 20 mg
  • Geodon 40 mg
  • Geodon 60 mg
  • Geodon 80 mg.

Geodon Dosing for Schizophrenia
The recommended starting Geodon dose for treating schizophrenia is 20 mg twice daily with food. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage up to a maximum of 80 mg twice daily.
 
Geodon Dosing for Bipolar Disorder
The recommended starting dose of Geodon for the treatment of bipolar disorder is 40 mg twice daily with food. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your Geodon dosage up to a maximum of 80 mg twice daily.
