Geodon 40 mg Capsules

Geodon^® (ziprasidone hydrochloride) is an antipsychotic medication approved for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It is available by prescription only and comes in capsule form, in the following strengths:

Geodon 20 mg capsules
Geodon 40 mg capsules
Geodon 60 mg capsules
Geodon 80 mg capsules.

For the treatment of bipolar disorder, most people start with Geodon 40 mg capsules (one capsule, twice a day). The recommended starting Geodon dose for treating schizophrenia is 20 mg twice daily. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage up to a maximum of 80 mg twice a day.
