Geodon 20 mg Capsules

Geodon® (ziprasidone hydrochloride) is a prescription drug commonly used for the treatment of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. It comes in capsule form and is available in four different strengths, including:
 
  • Geodon 20 mg capsules
  • Geodon 40 mg capsules
  • Geodon 60 mg capsules
  • Geodon 80 mg capsules.

People being treated for schizophrenia typically start with Geodon 20 mg capsules (one capsule, twice a day with food). If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your Geodon dose up to a maximum of 80 mg twice daily.
 
The recommended starting dosage for the treatment of bipolar disorder is 40 mg twice daily with food. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your Geodon dosage up to a maximum of Geodon 80 mg twice daily.
