Geodon® (ziprasidone hydrochloride) is a medication that is approved to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. By affecting certain chemicals in the brain (such as dopamine and serotonin), the medicine can control symptoms of both conditions. Side effects of Geodon can include twitching or shakiness, headaches, and drowsiness.

Geodon, which is available by prescription, comes in capsule form and is generally taken twice daily. Among the factors that can affect the dose of Geodon that your healthcare provider recommends are the medical condition being treated, the severity of your condition, other medical conditions you may have, and other medications you may be currently taking.
