Equetro Drug Interactions

When certain medications are taken with Equetro, drug interactions may possibly occur. Some of the medicines that can potentially cause these drug interactions with Equetro include antidepressants, hormonal contraceptives, and other seizure medications. Equetro drug interactions can alter the levels of some medications in your blood, making them less effective or possibly increasing your risk of side effects.

An Overview of Equetro Drug Interactions

Equetro® (carbamazepine) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to Equetro interactions include:
 
  • Alcohol
  • Antidepressants

  • Rifampin (Rifadin®)
  • Seizure medications
  • Theophylline (Elixophyllin®, TheoCap®, Theocron®, Theo-24®, Uniphyl®).
