Equetro Drug Interactions

Seizure Medications
Some seizure medications may increase or decrease the level of Equetro in your blood. Also, Equetro can increase or decrease the level of other seizure medications in your blood. Your healthcare provider should monitor you closely if you take Equetro in combination with seizure medications. Equetro should not be taken with other medications containing carbamazepine, including Carbatrol®, Epitol®, and Tegretol®.
 
Theophylline (Elixophyllin, TheoCap, Theocron, Theo-24, Uniphyl)
Taking theophylline with Equetro can decrease the levels of both medications in your blood, making them less effective. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
