Bypolar Disorder

Were you looking for information on Bipolar Disorder? Bypolar disorder is a common misspelling of bipolar disorder.

Bipolar disorder, also referred to as manic-depressive illness, is characterized by episodes, or cycles, of mania and depression. The condition usually develops in late adolescence or early adulthood. Common symptoms include extreme irritability and increased energy, and feelings of hopelessness or guilt, or a lack of interest in formerly pleasurable activities.

Between episodes of mania and depression, most people are free of symptoms. However, as many as one-third of people have some residual indications. Some people suffer for years before their bipolar disorder is properly diagnosed and treated.
