Were you looking for information about Bipolar Disorder? Bipolair is a common misspelling of bipolar disorder.
Bipolar disorder is a brain disorder that alters a person's mood, energy level, and ability to function. Because bipolar disorder is not often recognized as an illness, many people may suffer for years before it is properly diagnosed and treated. This long-term illness involves episodes, or cycles, of mania and depression. These episodes typically recur throughout the person's lifetime. Between episodes, most people with bipolar disorder are free of symptoms, but as many as one-third of people have some residual symptoms. However, there is a small percentage of people who experience chronic, unremitting symptoms despite treatment for bipolar disorder.
