Adasuve Drug Information

The antipsychotic drug AdasuveTM (loxapine inhalation powder) is approved for treating acute agitation in adults who have schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
 
This prescription medication comes as a powder that is inhaled. Dosing guidelines are the same for everyone -- the medicine is to be administered in a healthcare setting and comes in a single-use inhaler. It can be given once every 24 hours, as needed. Side effects are possible and include a sore throat, sedation, and a bad taste in the mouth.
