Abilify® (aripiprazole) is a medication licensed to treat bipolar disorder, autism, schizophrenia, and major depression (in combination with antidepressants). This prescription medication is a type of atypical antipsychotic medication; it works by affecting certain chemicals in the brain (including serotonin and dopamine). Abilify comes in the form of a tablet and is typically taken once a day. A few of the common side effects seen with Abilify include anxiety, headaches, and nausea.
