Abilify Dosage

For adults with schizophrenia who are first starting Abilify, dosing typically starts at 10 mg to 15 mg once daily. For the treatment of bipolar disorder, most people start with a daily dose of 30 mg. If needed, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage after two weeks or decrease your dosage if side effects occur. The recommended starting Abilify dose for treating major depression (when used along with an antidepressant) in adults is 2 mg to 5 mg once daily.

An Introduction to Abilify Dosage

The dose of Abilify® (aripiprazole) that your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:

  • The medical condition being treated
  • Your age
  • The severity of your condition
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you may be currently taking.

As always, do not adjust your Abilify dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
