Abilify® (aripiprazole) is a medication that is used for the treatment of schizophrenia, autism, and bipolar disorder. It is also approved to be used along with antidepressants for the treatment of major depression. Although it can control symptoms of these conditions and help keep them from returning, the medicine is not a cure.

Some of the factors that can affect the dose of Abilify that your healthcare provider recommends include the medical condition being treated, your age, the severity of your condition, and other medical conditions you may have. Side effects can include headaches, insomnia, nausea, and anxiety.
